Ranges & Legend
The POI, constraints, and harmers color ranges are customized from the Settings dialog in GIPS Desktop: click the gear
icon above the map, choose the Layers pane, and open the Color scale for the layer. The same pane sets each layer's
legend title. Previous versions required editing configuration.json directly.
The default POI ramp changed in v4.0
A deployment that has never set its own ranges now draws a six-step cividis
ramp, chosen because it stays ordered for colour-blind readers and in greyscale. The capacity surface
uses the same ranges, so fitting them to a study fits the surface to it. See

What the legend holds

A button on the map hides and shows the legend, for reading the map under it, and the legend scrolls, so its sections stay reachable on a short window.
